Galway Educate Together (GETNS)
GETNS is a co-educational Educate Together primary school in Galway City.
GETNS has established a Childrens Advisory Panel (CAP), to capture the voice of all students in their school. The school has a strong culture of ensuring the voice of all - students and teachers is heard. The school has a strong commitment to the SDGs for example
Goal 3 Good Health and Well-Being
GETNS has a healthy lunches policy. They also promote well-being with a Healthy Minds focus group. Mindfulness, yoga, and deep breathing are promoted at a whole school level. A Tibetan Bell is used over the intercom every Monday to encourage this good habit for our students

GETNS has a water harvesting system in place on the school building roof.

GETNS celebrates Diversity Month (March 2023) with a One World Bazaar, Seachtain na Gaeilge and Neurodiversity Month.
Goals 12 and 13 - Responsible Consumption and Climate Action
GETNS encourages the responsible disposal of waste. They also have a Gardening Club. The school has over 360 trees on their grounds, planted by their families.
The school has a strong commitment to social justice issues, supporting the needs of their migrant and refugee students regularly. The school has constructed a Crannóg to support many of their meetings, especially with the students.
