DCU is committed to working with Global Partners, Alumni, Government, Industry, and the wider community to support the successful delivery of its mission to transform lives and societies.
Our Mission: To advance the profile and standing of DCU, as a globally-significant University of Transformation and Enterprise; through fostering and managing strategic relationships which drive recruitment, deliver impact and develop meaningful outcomes in the international and local context.
Engagement has always been a hallmark of the DCU ethos. Over the past four decades, we’ve developed a wide range of important and beneficial relationships through our engagement with enterprise and employers, with our local communities, and with national and international stakeholders.
Engagement in practice is partnership and we want to position DCU as the partner of choice.
So it’s no surprise, then, that in the new DCU Strategy, one of the five strategic pillars is focused on “enhancing our local and international engagements”. DCU is a vibrant and large community of academics, students and professional staff. The University is known for its strong connections with industry and employers, with our Alumni community and with our neighbours here in North Dublin. We have a broad Cultural Arts programme, staff and student Volunteering activities and Community outreach programmes. Our priority is to deepen and widen these links, with a view to being a partner of choice.
We are also an active global partner in an array of networks and partnerships. We are committed to delivering a University-wide Internationalisation plan to further grow our reputation and to increase our appeal as a destination for students and researchers.
