About the Ideas Lab

The NIDL Ideas Lab is where learning and digital innovation seed, blossom and grow. Founded on the principles of design thinking, rapid prototying and a learning-centred philosophy the Ideas Lab is focused on agility, on risk taking and the scaling of learning ideas into full-implementation. The Ideas Lab Team brings about learning innovations whilst focusing on the future digital horizon. Their day to day work is simply about creating, shaping and achieving solutions and realising shared learning futures. More specifically, the Ideas Lab is responsible for managing DCUs global strategic partnership with FutureLearn, including the development of a suite of credit-bearing microcredentials, along with a number of externally funded digital education research and development projects.
