Academic biography
Dr Martina Crehan is the Head of the Teaching Enhancement Unit at DCU. She has previously been the Deputy Director of the Health Professions Education Centre at RCSI, University of Medicine & Health Sciences, and Deputy Director of the Transforming Healthcare Education project at RCSI, where she was the educational advisor on the redesign of the undergraduate medicine curriculum. She has developed and been the Programme Lead on Postgraduate Diplomas in Higher Education Teaching & Learning, and has experience in a wide range of Faculty Development teaching including curriculum design and case based learning. She has also supervised at PhD and MD levels. Her areas of interest include curriculum design, peer observation of teaching, teaching and learning in higher education, student engagement, and reflective practice
