International Student Emergency Fund
Non-EU students who have had a significant change in their life circumstances within the last three months which has left them in financial crisis can apply for the fund. Sudden illness, bereavement or sudden unemployment are some of the situations where students may be eligible for the fund.
- Students must be registered with the University for at least 6 months before being eligible to apply for the fund.
- Students must provide official evidence of their change in circumstance.
- Fees must be paid in full.
- Students can only apply once in an academic year.
- By uploading incorrect or inaccurate documentation, your application will be rejected.
- Recent diagnosis of a serious illness or condition and require assistance to return home
- Student was the victim of a crime
- Student recently homeless due to changes in rental accommodation
- Student recently lost employment and is actively seeking new employment
In each of these cases, the student needs to be able to demonstrate the impact on their financial planning for the year.
