Dr Leeann Lane Publishes New Book

On Monday, 14 April, a new biography of Mary MacSwiney, written by our colleague Leeann Lane and published by UCD Press, was launched at Chapters Bookstore, Dublin. To mark the occasion, Leeann and David McCullagh, RTE journalist and fellow political biographer, engaged in a lively conversation about the origins of the new book and Mary MacSwiney’s eventful life. A large audience attended.

This is Leeann’s third full-length biography of a female activist of the Irish revolutionary period. It offers a comprehensive understanding of a misrepresented and marginalised voice in early twentieth-century Irish politics. The book is available to purchase here.
