Sweet History

On the evening of 17 October, the latest in a series of talks on the history of Millmount, co-organized by the Drumcondra Triangle Residents' Association and the School of History and Geography, took place on the St Patrick's Campus.

On this occasion, a large audience came to hear Cormac Moore, historian-in-residence with Dublin City Council, deliver a talk on the history of Lemon's, the sweet manufacturers. Lemon's had a factor on Millmount for much of the twentieth century, and Cormac's talk explored this as well as the broader history of this famous Dublin firm from its foundation in 1842.
