Congratulations to Dr. Niamh Cullen who has been awarded funding through the Geological Survey
of Irelands Targeted Calls in partnership with colleagues from Trinity College Dublin, University of
the Algarve and Williams College. The project will quantify cliff recession at different scales and
timeframes using Persistent Scatterer Interferometry Synthetic Aperture Radar (PS-InSAR) and
Structure from Motion (SfM) photogrammetry techniques. The project will also utilise numerical
analyses and modelling to help identify the main factors driving erosion.
Dr. Niamh Cullen is Assistant Professor in Climate and Environmental sustainability in the School of
History and Geography at DCU.
