School of History and Geography on RTE Brainstorm

RTÉ Brainstorm is a partnership between RTÉ and Irish third level institutions, where academics and researchers can offer opinion pieces, current research and new ideas on a vast range of topics through the RTÉ Website.

To date, two members of the School of History and Geography have contributed to this platform.  You can read Dr Daithí Ó Corráin's piece on historical context and the significance of the proposed visit by Pope Francis to Ireland in August here.

For St. Patrick's Day, RTÉ Brainstorm invited a submission from one academic within each of the Institutions on Irish culture and Identity.  Dr Susan Hegarty wrote on the influence of the Irish natural landscape on the names we have given to our land and its various parcels.  That piece can be read here.
