DCU Conflict Institute
The DCU Conflict Institute brings together researchers in Dublin City University working on a wide range of subjects, including peace, security, migration, international law, and conflict resolution. It constitutes a vibrant, multidisciplinary research community that produces and shares high quality, relevant research which is useful to policy makers, government, civil society, media, and other researchers.
The Institute shares reports, organises conferences and workshops, and works closely with those dealing with these issues and affected by them. Bringing a wide range of actors together creates important synergies and opportunities to share information and perspectives.
The Institute also hosts the Ireland North-South Research Project, which is a new programme of research on the future of the island of Ireland in the aftermath of Brexit.
The Institute was founded in 2012, and was previously named the Institute for International Conflict Resolution and Reconstruction (IICRR). The founding director was Professor John Doyle.
Co-Directors: Dr Sarah Leonard and Dr Walt Kilroy.
