Under the coordination of Prof Christian Kaunert, the Security and Defence cluster produces internationally excellent and world-leading research, innovation, and impact activities in international security and defence. Research themes include security theory, securitization, terrorism and counter-terrorism, defence and security, conflict and security, migration and mobility, criminology, policing and the international security of different world regions.
