Dynamics of the International Order
Led by: Dr Markus Pauli
This research cluster analyses the international political order – its evolution over time and especially its legitimacy, its authority and its effectiveness to deal with global challenges including peace and sustainable development. Cluster members are studying a range of specific countries and institutions, as well as norms and international agreements. The topics range from trade, health, and development to crime, climate change and environmental protection. Our research is interested in the dynamics of the international order and how actors shape it due to their interests and respective power.
