How to book an appointment:

There are three tabs below which are clickable. Simply select the appointment type you need (e.g. to book with a general Student Advisor, select the Student Advice Appointment.). 

Our Learning Skills Advisors can assist with the following:

  • Note taking
  • Effective reading strategies
  • Time management
  • Groupwork and presentations
  • Exam preparation
  • Academic writing

We can meet with you in Glasnevin, St Patrick's, and online via Zoom. 

Writing Centre appointments are open and can be booked for the week of January 27th.

Our Academic Writing Coaches can provide advice and support regarding any aspect of academic writing, including: 

  • Academic language and phrasing
  • Assignment structure
  • Building an argument
  • Critical thinking and writing
  • Integrating sources into your writing
  • Specific assignment types, e.g. case studies, reflective writing, literature reviews, etc. 

Please note: support with citing and referencing is provided by the DCU Library. 

An Academic Writing Coach is available for Mature and FET students on Tuesday evenings from 18:30 to 20:30.
