How to book an appointment:

There are three tabs below which are clickable. Simply select the appointment type you need. For example, to book a Student Advice appointment, select 3. Student Advice and scroll down. 

Writing Centre Appointment

Our Academic Writing Coaches can provide advice and support regarding any aspect of academic writing, including: 

  • Academic language and phrasing
  • Assignment structure
  • Building an argument
  • Critical thinking and writing
  • Integrating sources into your writing
  • Specific assignment types, e.g. case studies, reflective writing, literature reviews, etc. 

Please note: support with citing and referencing is provided by the DCU Library

A dedicated Academic Writing Coach is available for Mature and FET students, see calendar below.

Learning Skills Appointment

Our Learning Skills Advisors can assist with the following:

  • Note taking
  • Effective reading strategies
  • Time management
  • Groupwork and presentations
  • Exam preparation
  • Academic writing
