DCU Brand Guidelines and Assets
The Communications, Marketing and Events Department takes a digital-first approach to all projects, in line with best practices in the areas of user experience, accessibility and sustainability.
Anyone at Dublin City University who communicates on the University’s behalf should find this a helpful and inspiring resource to ensure the integrity of the DCU brand.
Faculties and Schools should contact their Faculty Manager or where they exist their communications or marketing representative for guidance on design requests.
Here is a list of current contacts within each of the faculties:
- Faculty of Science and Health - Sharon Whyte
- DCUBS - Sarah Coleman / Ciara Feeney
- Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences - Sinéad Ní Chrualaoi & Carol Diamond
- Engineering and Computing - Áine Nolan
- IoE - Ursula Mhic Cártaigh
Each representative will then brief the design team and liaise on your behalf.
Units / Centres - requests should be submitted via a single nominated individual in order to better streamline projects. That nominated person should contact one of our graphic designers at branding@dcu.ie
When submitting a brief for a design or video project, please consider the following:
- Objective
- Audience
- Budget
- Deadline

**Lead times vary depending on the size and nature of the project. This is in keeping with best practices for digital accessibility. DCU’s websites are regularly audited by the National Disability Authority (NDA) to ensure compliance with accessibility under the European Union (Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications of Public Sector Bodies) Regulations 2020, which came into effect in Ireland in September 2020.
