Is iarmhúinteoir
lán-Ghaeilge í Aisling agus tá taithí leathan aici ar theagasc na Gaeilge
d’aoisghrúpaí éagsúla. Tá suim aici i ngach gné de theagasc na Gaeilge agus
teagasc trí Ghaeilge. Tá taighde déanta ag Aisling ar chur chuige ionduchtach
do theagasc na Gaeilge sna scoileanna lán-Ghaeilge. Dhírigh a taighde
dochtúireachta ar oideolaíochtaí um theagasc an léireolais do bhunmhúinteoirí
faoi oiliúint. Tá suim ar leith ag Aisling sa tumoideachas, san
ilteangachas, i dteagasc agus sealbhú an dara teanga agus i sealbhú mionteangacha
ach go háirithe. Tá réimse tionscadal maoinithe taighde curtha i gcrích aici. Is
ball í Aisling de Choiste Stiúrtha na Roinne Oideachais don Tionscadal ar an
bhFoghlaim Chomhtháite Ábhar agus Teangacha (FCÁT).
Aisling Ní Dhiorbháin is a former Irish-medium primary teacher and she
has a wide range of experience of teaching Irish to various age groups. She is
interested in all aspects of teaching Irish and teaching through Irish. Aisling
has conducted research on an inductive approach to grammar teaching in
Irish-medium schools. Her doctoral research focused on pedagogies for teaching
explicit knowledge of Irish to student primary teachers. Aisling has a
particular interest in immersion education, plurilingualism, second language
teaching and learning and in minority language acquisition in particular. Aisling
has been principal investigator on several funded research projects. Aisling is
a member of Department of Education Steering Group for the Implementation of
Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL).
