Policy Toolkit - Probation Toolkit
Probationary Process Toolkit
This Toolkit is designed for any DCU staff member engaging with the probation process. The Toolkit provides step-by step instructions on taking part in, as well as managing the probationary process at DCU.
Probation is the process of ensuring that a new employee is meeting the required standard. It is effectively an extension of the recruitment process. Formal probationary reviews are completed with a new employee after three, six and nine months of employment. These dates should be communicated to the manager by the HR department.
