Dr Ethna Regan invited to Notre Dame University
Ethna Regan was one of 25 experts from around the world invited to speak at an interdisciplinary conference in Notre Dame University, Indiana, October 6-9. The conference on social ethics and childhood was a joint initiative of Notre Dame’s Keough School of Global Affairs and their Centre for Social Concerns, and the University of Salzburg Centre for Ethics and Poverty Research. The conference explored a child-centred approach in institutions and society, what it means to take the perspective of children and young people seriously, especially those most disadvantaged, and how these perspectives help ‘decentre’ academic discourse and established practice.
