Launch of New Book by Dr Peter Admirand
Dr Peter Admirand, Director of the CIRD, had his most recent book, Humbling Faith, launched on 18 June 2019 on the DCU All Hallows Campus.
Dr Gabriel Flynn, of DCU’s School of Theology, Philosophy, and Music, warmly welcomed everyone – and offered praise for the book. Patsy McGarry of The Irish Times then offered close, careful, and laudatory comments and analysis of Humbling Faith—admitting he read it three times!
After Patsy’s commendable talk (and after a nod to the Sound Engineer of the audiobook version of Humbling Faith, Dr Declan Tuite, also in attendance), Dr Admirand provided further context of the book and played a sample of the audiobook from Audible.
A wide diverse group was in attendance, from members of Dr Admirand’s family (Kelly with 2 of their children—Chris and Kaitlyn), DCU Staff and students, former Irish School of Ecumenics colleagues, members of TIECS, The Dublin City Interfaith Forum, Atheist Ireland, The Irish Council of Christians and Jews, Parkrun---the list could go on and on! Special thanks (see photo) go to Holocaust survivor Tomi Reichenthal and his wife, Joyce, for their special support and attendance.
Dr Admirand then signed copies of the books and enjoyed talking to everyone. Wine and drinks were kindly provided by The School of Theology, Philosophy, and Music.
