Choral Leadership Development Day
Over 100 choir leaders from all over the country gathered at the DCU All Hallows Campus for a professional development day hosted by the School of Theology, Philosophy, and Music. Participants took part in workshops on vocal technique, choral sound, conducting, and repertoire, led by DCU Music staff Dr Róisín Blunnie and Dr Seán Doherty, with guest presenter Dr Orla Flanagan of Trinity College Dublin. Those in attendance included conductors of primary and post-primary school choirs, community choirs and church choirs, as well as leaders of singing groups of many kinds, and music students from DCU and elsewhere. The event was held in association with the Post-Primary Music Teachers Association, and the Association of Irish Choirs.
