Registration - Repeats
Communication for Repeat/Deferred Students
Repeat/deferred students should register online from 11:30am on Monday 30th September. Please follow the instructions for Group A below. The registration link will be published on your portal page. Please attend relevant lectures in the meantime.

(Repeat/Deferred students not on continuous programmes and not wishing to register for alternative modules.)
Login details for your portal page
A list of the modules (failed/deferred) that you are registering for (e.g. your transcript from the August resits)
Pop-ups enabled on your browser
To follow all the steps below in sequence. Note: Clicking on fee payment will not complete your registration.
Step 1: Update your contact details
Step 2-4: Continue through steps 2 – 4 updating the various details and saving each one
Step 5: Qualification registration.
Ensure you read the information and click “I Accept” at the bottom of the page. This will confirm your registration for your qualification.
Step 6: Select your modules.
All core modules will be registered automatically. Optional modules should be ticked off based on the modules you are required to register for. In the unlikely event that a module which you need to repeat is not being offered in this academic year, please contact your programme chair in the first instance to identify the appropriate alternative module. It will not be possible to register for alternative modules here through your portal, you will need to follow the instruction for Group B below, which will direct you to an online form where you can submit the information with regard to your alternative module. See below.
Step 7: – Proof of Registration – this will confirm your registration for this academic year – 2014, your name, ID number, qualification and all modules. You can print this confirmation.

Step 9: – process fee payment. This can also be paid directly to the Fees office staff on the Street in the Henry Grattan building this week until 12.45pm on Friday 4th October
Check your portal page 24 hours after completing registration to ensure you are registered correctly.
Group B – Students on continuous programmes and students required to register for alternative modules.
Do not login to your portal page. Read the information below then click on the following link: https://www.dcu.ie/registry/r342014.shtml.
You will need to have a list of the modules (failed/deferred) that you are registering for (e.g. your transcript from the August resits).
You must have pop-ups enabled on your browser.
You will be required to submit the following information to complete the form:
1. Name, student ID number, contact phone number.
2. Programme details such as, undergraduate/postgraduate, full time/ part time, year of study e.g. 2 for repeating second year, Faculty to which your programme belongs.
3. Name of programme e.g. M.Eng. in Telecommunications Engineering, list of module codes and names of failed/deferred modules e.g. EE402 Object-Oriented Prog. Algorithms for Engs (semester 1), list of module codes and names you wish to register for e.g. EE402 Object-Oriented Prog. Algorithms for Engs (semester 1)
4. In the unlikely event that a module which you need to repeat is not being offered in this academic year, please contact your programme chair in the first instance to identify the appropriate alternative module. Do not complete this online form until you have all the relevant details with regard to your alternative module.
5. Click on I Agree.
6. Continue until you see the message “Application for Approval to Register as a Repeat Student and/or Defer Modules. Thank you. Your form is being processed. If we require further information we will contact you in due course.”
7. We will endeavour to have your registration completed in five working days. Please check your portal page to confirm your registration is complete. Due to the high volume of queries at this time of year, we ask that you do not submit queries regarding your registration until we have processed your first request.
