How to apply to DCU
EU Applicants (EU, EFTA & UK) - How to Apply
Undergraduate applicants wishing to apply to DCU with EU qualifications make an application through the Central Applications Office (CAO) by 1st February. Take note of the important closing date information for CAO applicants. This includes multi-national qualifications from applicants educated in Europe, to include the European Baccalaureate (EB) and the International Baccalaureate (IB). Please ensure that if you are applying as an international applicant, that you submit your application and all required documentation in support of your application by the published deadline of July 1st. Applications received after this date may not be processed for your desired programme.

To make a research application to DCU, please use the DCU Student Application Portal. Begin your application by submitting a Postgraduate Research pre-application form.

Ukrainian Admissions - Applicants presenting Ukrainian qualifications while living within the EU, can apply through CAO here. Applicants presenting Ukrainian qualifications while living outside the EU (including the Ukraine), should apply through the DCU student application portal, available here. (* DCU English language requirements must be satisfied)
International Foundation Programme - You may need to take a foundation course if you do not satisfy DCU’s minimum entrance requirements. Find out more about how to apply the International Foundation Programme by clicking here.
Pre-sessional English programmes - If you have a conditional offer of a place at DCU, but don’t satisfy DCU’s English language requirements, you may be able to take a five-week or 10-week pre-sessional English programme on the DCU campus. Once you successfully complete this programme, you can progress to your full-time DCU programme. For more information on the Pre-session English programmes, visit here.
