Physics drives and underpins a wide range of technologies and industry sectors, from ICT, semiconductor medical technologies, digital services, agri-food and finance. Companies engaging in physics-based research and employing expertise in physics will continuously drive innovation, ensuring they remain at the forefront of high-technology, knowledge intensive industry.
In celebration of thirty years of education, research, innovation and the resulting global family of alumni in physics, the School of Physical Sciences at DCU invites you to a showcase of DCU world-class research that has made real impact on societies and economies. Leading DCU alumni will inform on the role physics has played in their careers and how it currently underpins R&D in their business. Information on opportunities to leverage government funding for graduate employment and research and other collaborations, e.g. Intra and Internships, with academia will also be provided.
Whom should Attend?
Companies interested in augmenting their R&D capacity and looking to get access to expert talent via various mechanisms including funded PhD programmes will benefit from this event. We welcome back our DCU Physics Alumni to contribute to making this event an opportunity to network and understand next-generation research being carried out at DCU in the area of Physics which will have benefit for industry and society at large.
