Fee Waiver Scheme

Am I eligible?
  • The course must be a DCU undergraduate or postgraduate degree programme.

  • The course should be relevant to the applicant's current role and of benefit to the university.

  • The applicant should have completed their probationary period and/or have at least one year's service before starting the qualification.

  • The applicant must hold a contract of employment that extends beyond the completion date of the course.

  • The applicant must receive the approval of the head of school/unit and authorisation from the human resources department.

How do I apply?
  • Fully complete the fee waiver application form.

  • Forward the application form to your head of school/unit for approval.

  • Choose the correct application form below and complete online.

  • The application process must be made for each year of the course.

A fee waiver may be granted to eligible staff based on the criteria set out below. 

Additional information

  • It’s only possible to take part if places are available after full fee-paying places have been allocated.

  • We must consider applications in the context of any financial constraints facing the university.

  • The fee waiver does not apply beyond the date your contract of employment ends.

  • You can’t use the fee waiver to cover the cost of repeat modules and examinations.

  • Short courses or conferences are not covered by the scheme.
