Key findings: Career development
- While 70% of respondents get chances to take part in training and development opportunities, only 52% have enough time to do so.
- Women agree less that they have the time to engage with training than men do.
- Only 38% agree the training opportunities on offer meet their needs. Men agree less with this than women do.
- 63% have formal meetings with their PI, and 62% agree they have dedicated time to discuss career development.
- Women indicated they have fewer formal meetings with their PI to discuss career development and are less able to dedicate time to discuss career development than men are.
- Only 38% agree they’re allocated enough teaching hours to support career development.
