Wellbeing 

The new DCU People Wellbeing Strategy is committed to promoting a positive employee experience by creating a work environment where every employee feels supported and can thrive.  The Wellbeing strategy is organised under four pillars which are are complemented by a wide range of supports, programmes and events.

There are four well-being pillars: Mental, Social, Financial, and Physical Wellbeing, supported by strategic pillars and building blocks, and enablers.The first pillar, Mental Wellbeing is supported by Leadership commitment, personal growth and learning, access to mental health resources, line management and co-worker support and occupational health. The second pillar, social wellbeing, is supported by DCU social events, civil and community engagement. relationship and connections, recognition, support network and employee resource groups. The third pillar, Financial Wellbeing, is supported by compensation, benefits, access to financial advice, support with financial decisions at critical career stages, and access to training and information on managing finances. The fourth and final pillar, physical wellbeing, is supported by the working environment, healthy choices, keeping active, healthy eating, and occupational health. The four pillars are underscored by give enablers - the employees assistance service, learning and career pathways, equality, diversity and inclusion strategy, HR policies and Procedures and Culture and Engagement.
