Fee Supports for External Courses

Am I eligible for fee support for courses outside DCU?

  • The course should be relevant to your current role and of benefit to the university.

  • Your school or unit must be willing to provide financial support for the course.

  • You must have completed your probationary period and/or have at least one year's service before beginning the qualification.

  • You must hold a contract of employment that extends beyond the completion date of the course.

  • The head of school or unit must approve the application and DCU People must authorise it.

How do I apply?

  • Complete the online application form below.

  • Attached email confirmation of approval from your Head of School / Unit

  • You must complete this application process for each year of the course.

Additional Information & Forms

  • All applications are considered against any financial constraints facing the university.

  • The fee payment does not apply beyond the date your contract of employment ends. 

  • Send your invoices to learning.development@dcu.ie for processing.
