Prof Tom Lumpkin
Prof Tom Lumpkin is a member of the DCU National Centre for Family Business Scientific Committee. He is affiliated with the University of Tennessee and the University of Oklahoma, USA.
Research expertise: Professor Lumpkin’s research and teaching interests include entrepreneurial orientation, social entrepreneurship, and family business. He is a globally recognised scholar whose research has been published in journals such as the Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Perspectives, and Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice. He has been a Co-Editor of the Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal and has or serves on the editorial boards of at least five leading international journals. He is the 2009 recipient of the Foundational Paper award from the Entrepreneurship Division of the Academy of Management for a “classic and highly influential contribution to entrepreneurship research that serves as a legacy for scholarly work in the field” for his paper “Clarifying the Entrepreneurial Orientation Construct and Linking it to Performance," published in 1996 (with Gregory G. Dess).
