Prof Sophie Bacq
Prof Sophie Bacq is a member of the DCU National Centre for Family Business Scientific Committee. She is affiliated with Indiana University USA.
Research expertise: Prof Bacq’s research and teaching interests include social entrepreneurship, the social impact of small and medium enterprise and entrepreneurship, family businesses, and civic wealth. She is a globally recognised scholar whose research has been published in top-tier journals such as the Academy of Management Annals, Academy of Management Review, Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice, and Journal of Business Venturing. Prof Bacq currently serves as a Field Editor at the Journal of Business Venturing, and on the Editorial Review Boards of the Academy of Management Journal, Entrepreneurship: Theory & Practice, and Journal of Management. She is the co-Director of The Annual Social Entrepreneurship Conference, and co-teacher of the Annual Social Entrepreneurship Doctoral Seminar. In 2019, she won the Emerging Scholar Award of the Academy of Management Entrepreneurship Division.
