Former DCU lecturer Roderic O'Gorman is the Minister for Children, Disability, Equality and Integration
Roderic O'Gorman TD is the Minister for Children, Disability, Equality and Integration. He was appointed to this role in June 2020. He was elected to represent the Dublin West constituency in the 2020 general election. Prior to being elected to Dáil Éireann, he served on Fingal County Council, having been first elected in 2014 and re-elected in 2019, representing the Green Party/ Comhaontas Glas.
Roderic has been a lecturer in EU Law at DCU since 2012 and has been the Director of our BA in Economics, Politics and Law degree for a number of years. Roderic is the first ever DCU employee to win a seat in Dáil Eireann. We wish him well in his new endeavours.
