DCU IoE host delegation from Lithuania

The DCU Institute of Education hosted a visiting delegation from Lithuania from 7-8 October. The visit took place under the TAIEX, Technical Assistance and Information Exchange instrument of the European Commission. The delegation gained an insight into the creation of a centre for excellence in teacher education at the DCU Institute of Education. They in turn shared their experiences of change in teacher education in Lithuania. The visit was part of ongoing engagement by the DCU Institute of Education with the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport and universities in Lithuania. As well as Institute of Education staff, the delegates received an input from the Director of the Teaching Council, Tomás Ó Ruairc and the Head of Initial Teacher Education, Siobhán Healy.
