21st Century Learning Design MOOC goes live
The official launch of the 21st Century Learning Design Online Course for teachers took place recently by the Minister for Education and Skills, Jan O'Sullivan TD in the Cregan Library, St Patrick’s campus, DCU.
A massive open online course (MOOC), to help educators bring more technology skills into the classroom has been officially launched.
21st Century Learning Design (21CLD), seeks to develop communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills. The course will be available through the Microsoft Educator Community, an online portal accessible to the educators across the globe.
The course was developed by St Patrick’s College in Dublin along with DCU and H2 Learning, an Irish e-learning services and consultancy organisation.
The 21CLD course will allow Irish teachers, and teachers around the globe, to embed ICT more effectively into their classroom teaching by designing learning activities that develop 21st century skills. Many teachers struggle to use ICT effectively with their learners and this course is designed to help them address this challenge
