Online News Association (ONA) in conjunction with the Institute for Future Media and Journalism (FuJo), will hold a review of the Irish General Election online coverage.
#GE16 was a truly digital campaign that saw traditional parties compete with new parties and traditional media collide with social platforms.
- So what are the takeaways?
- What stories and parties made an impact?
- Which media outlets and platforms sustained the most engagement?
- How did the party and media strategies play out and compare?
- And what does it all mean for future campaigns?
Our panelists on the night will include Mark Little, Vice-President of media for Europe and Africa with Twitter; Kevin Doyle, Group Political Editor of Independent News and Media (INM); Dr Eugenia Siapera and Dr Jane Suiter, FuJo; Mary Regan, Political Editor with UTV Ireland, Georgiana Ifrim, of the Insight News Group; and Liam Corcoran, Head of Communications with NewsWhip.
