Discussion involved comparing the common-law and civil-law approaches to constitutional review

This week, the School of Law and Government at DCU hosted a roundtable with Professor Matej Accetto, President of the Constitutional Court of Slovenia in Albert College on DCU's Glasnevin campus. The discussion on comparing the common-law and civil-law approaches to constitutional review was co-hosted in association with the Centre for Constitutional Governance at Trinity College Dublin and the Sutherland School of Law, UCD. 

The discussion was chaired by Mr. Justice John MacMenamin, Judge of the Irish Supreme Court, and guests included Supreme Court judges Gerard Hogan and Maurice Collins, and Úna Ní Raifeartaigh, Judge of the Irish Court of Appeal, who was recently elected as Judge of the European Court of Human Rights.
