Each postgraduate research student, full-time or part-time, can apply in the period of their registration for the €500 Postgraduate Research Conference Presentation Grant. The scheme is administered through the Graduate Studies Office (GSO) and the budget is held by Research Support Services (RSS).
The purpose of this grant is primarily to provide a funding contribution, to a maximum of €500, for doctoral students to present their doctoral research (paper or poster presentation) at a national or international conference. The grant may also fund Summer Schools or a visit to a relevant research lab - it is again expected the student will be presenting.
A maximum of two applications can be made up to a total value of €500.
Students who previously availed of the €500 Postgraduate Research Conference and Travel Grant are not eligible to apply for this grant unless they have only used up €250 of their €500 allocation.
Details of the Student Grant Scheme are available on the SUSI website. The website also provides details of other scholarship and bursary schemes available.
