Siobhán Seoighe
Siobhán works in Dublin City University as Irish Language Officer. She has a primary degree in Early and Modern Irish from Trinity College, Dublin. She also has a Masters in Modern Irish from the National University of Ireland, Galway and a certificate in Project Management and Innovation from IBAT.
Siobhán has a wide range of experience and has worked as Development Manager with Gaelchultúr, Events Manager for Rith Teo, and as an Executive Officer with An Foras Pátrúnachta, a management company and patron of Irish Language Schools.
In 2011, Glór na nGael published her book ‘Ráth Chairn na Gréine: Bailiúcháin amhrán agus dánta ó Ghaeltacht Ráth Chairn 1935 – 2011’; a collection of songs and poetry from the Ráth Chairn Gaeltacht.
Siobhán was a member of Comhairle RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta (Advisory Board) from 2013 to 2018. In 2017 a new Comhairle was announced for RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta and Siobhán was appointed Chairperson.
The Minister of State for the Irish Language, the Gaeltacht and the Islands at the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht appointed Siobhán Seoige to the Board of Údarás na Gaeltachta in 2015, she was reappointed in 2018.
