Bhain An Dr Seán Mac Risteaird B.A. (Onóracha), Teastas i Múineadh na Gaeilge d'Fhoghlaimeoirí Fásta, agus Ph.D. amach in Ollscoil Mhá Nuad. Bronnadh FHEA de chuid Advance HE ar Sheán in 2021. Tá spéis mhór aige i léann na gnéasachta, i gcúrsaí inscne, agus sa chritic chultúrtha agus liteartha. Ceapadh Seán ina Chathaoirleach Cláir ar an mBaitsiléir san Oideachas i nGaeilge agus Teangacha (BEdLan) in 2022. Foilsíodh a chéad mhonagraf Teanga don Tost (Arlen House) sa bhliain 2024. Tá sé ag obair faoi láthair ar an dara leabhar, ar cnuasach aistí é, bunaithe ar shaol agus ar shaothar Mhichíl Uí Chonghaile. Scríobhann Seán go rialta d'iris Comhar.
Dr Seán Mac Risteaird earned a B.A. (Honours), a Certificate in Teaching Irish to Adult Learners, and a Ph.D. from Maynooth University. In 2021, he was awarded the FHEA (Fellow of the Higher Education Academy) by Advance HE. He has a keen interest in sexuality studies, gender, and in cultural and literary criticism. Seán was appointed Programme Chair for the Bachelor of Education in Irish and Languages in 2022 (BEdLan). His first monograph, Teanga don Tost (Arlen House), was published in 2024. He is currently working on his second book, a collection of essays based on the life and works of Micheál Ó Conghaile. He also writes frequently for the literary magazine Comhar.
