Collaboration and Industry Partnerships
DCU actively seeks partnerships and collaborations with enterprise and industry. The University works with companies to bring research to the marketplace, develops knowledge and innovations with industry applications, and collaborates with employers to develop industry-relevant courses, from micro-credentials to degree programmes.
Philanthropy
Philanthropic donations help us to deliver on DCU’s mission to ‘transform lives and societies’. The DCU Educational Trust manages philanthropy at the University, partnering with businesses and individuals to support high impact projects. Recent donations have helped us to create a first-of-its-kind Virtual Reality teaching space; supported new climate change research, and funded scholarships that give talented students the chance to access Higher Education.
Employer Recruitment Opportunities
DCU's Careers Fairs are an excellent way for employers to meet with our talented students in person, so you can find out what they have to offer, and vice versa. The DCU Careers Office also runs a number of other innovative initaitives to help empoyers with their recruitment needs. These include the Employers in Residence programme, which allows you to set out your stall on campus, and the My Career online jobs board where employers can advertise employment opportunities.
Internships
Our groundbreaking internship programme, INTRA, gives employers an introduction to the next generation of talent. Through INTRA, employers can hire enthusiastic, work-ready interns from across a range of disciplines including Business, Science, Computing, Engineering and Humanities. A dedicated INTRA team manages all aspects of the process.The programme enriches students' education through real-world experience, helping them to develop transferable skills that enhance their employability.

Executive Education
DCU offers a range of upskilling opportunities that match the needs of your team. Our Executive Education programmes also include bespoke programmes for individual organisations, as well as sector-specific courses such as the export-focused Go Global for Growth (GG4G). We also deliver Continuous Professional Development courses and modules in partnership with Springboard that will help employees to stand out in the workplace and grow professionally.
DCU Micro-credentials
Micro-credentials are short, industry-engaged, accredited qualifications. DCU offers a range of multi-disciplinary micro-credentials in 4 of its 5 Faculties, namely Faculty of Science & Health, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Engineering & Computing and DCU Business School. The University is committed to an evidence-based approach to micro-credentials, and is actively engaged in micro-credentials research and policy development on the national and international stage.
DCU Futures
Created in collaboration with world-leading companies, the DCU Futures suite of programmes is the most ambitious innovation in teaching and learning in the history of the University. Students benefit from a Challenge Based Learning approach where industry partners set real-world tasks and challenges. These courses also focus on developing essential Transversal Skills (from leadership to creative thinking) that today's graduates need to thrive in a rapidly changing world
