EUNEC, the European Network of Education Councils. Education councils advise their respective countries and using the EUNEC platform, exchange information and viewpoints on educational matters. With the objective of gaining common standpoints on education EUNEC facilitates meetings and conferences.
EU will tackle early school leavers
KEYNOTE PRESENTATION BY DR. PAUL DOWNES AT EU PRESIDENCY CONFERENCE
Dr. Paul Downes gave a keynote presentation at a EU Presidency conference in Vilnius, Lithuania.
On November 18th 2013, Dr. Downes gave the opening address at the European Network of Education Councils (EUNEC) conference on Early School Leaving in the Lithuanian Parliament (Seimas). The title of his presentation was, ‘A Holistic Approach to Early School Leaving Prevention in Europe: Key Strategic Priorities for System Level Development’. This conference was organised by EUNEC, in conjunction with the European Commission and the Lithuanian Government (Ministry of Education and Science) in the context of its EU Presidency.

EUNEC STATEMENTS
Since 2000, EUNEC has been organising conferences and seminars on topical issues on the European and national agendum in the field of education and training. The outputs of these debates are called the Statements of EUNEC, a document agreed on by all participants
