Active for life is an exercise programme designed to help older adults achieve optimal health, fitness, and a quality of life. These classes are designed to help improve muscle tone, strength and flexibility in a group setting. It will also help improve posture and overall fitness. This class caters for all levels.
You must be a member of the sports complex to attend.

St. Patricks Complex gym is only available to DCU staff and students. To join St. Patrick's Campus Sports Complex, you’ll need to sign up in person at the DCU Sport Complex reception desk on Glasnevin Campus. Online registration is not available for this facility. For more information on membership options and pricing, please visit the reception or contact the team directly.
The DCU Sport App is designed to make your experience more convenient and engaging. With the app, you can:
- Book fitness classes, courts, and the Soccer Centre easily.
- Check timetables for activities and events.
- Stay up to date with the latest announcements and updates from DCU Sport.
The app ensures you can access key services quickly and stay informed about everything happening at DCU Sport.
You can download the DCU Sport App from the App Store (for iOS devices) or Google Play Store (for Android devices). Simply search for "DCU Sport" and click download. Once installed, you can easily access features like class bookings, court reservations, timetables, and the latest announcements. To log in, contact our reception desk to get your login ID and Pin number.
If you've forgotten your password, you can reset it by visiting the sports complex reception or emailing us sports.complex@dcu.ie . Our team will assist you in resetting your password and getting you back into your account quickly.
You can check the pool’s closing times through the online timetable on our website or by using the DCU Sport App. Both platforms are regularly updated with the latest schedule and any changes to pool availability.
When using the spa facilities, you are required to wear swimwear. Additionally, please ensure you bring your own towel, as they are not provided. For your safety and comfort, sliders or flip-flops must be worn while using the spa area. If you are using the pool please ensure you have a hat.
Yes, we offer swimming lessons for all levels, whether you're a beginner or looking to improve your skills. Our lessons are designed to help you build confidence in the water and develop your swimming technique. You can find out what classes are on by checking the timetable on our website or through the DCU Sport App. Both platforms are regularly updated with the latest class schedules, so you can easily see what’s available and book your spot.
You can book a class using the DCU Sport App. Simply open the app, browse the available classes, select the one you'd like to attend, and follow the prompts to complete your booking. Be sure to book in advance to secure your spot! Classes are available online 48 hours, opening at 8am in the morning.
If you can’t attend a class you’ve booked, you can easily cancel your booking through the DCU Sport App. Simply go to your bookings, select the class, and choose the option to cancel. Please cancel as early as possible to give others the opportunity to book the spot.
To book facilities at Morton Stadium, you’ll need to contact the DCU Sport reception, who will grant you access to the Morton Stadium booking platform via the DCU Sport App. Once you have access, you can easily reserve the facilities through the app.
Yes, you can hire venues at DCU Sport for events. We offer a variety of spaces, including sports halls, meeting rooms, and outdoor facilities. To enquire about availability, pricing, and booking details, please contact the DCU Sport reception or visit our website for more information.
Children can attend the pool until 7pm Monday through friday, for further information on our Child Admissions policy, click here
