CEPA Research Project

CEPA Research Project

The CEPA (Community Engagement Through Performance Art) project investigates the potential of performance art to be a conduit for the social and cultural values of the displaced Ukrainian community and facilitate their integration with the Irish community.

It is a collaboration between DCU, Ukrainian Action and Create. The CEPA Project is funded by the Irish Arts Council New Foundation award and is coordinated by Dr. Marcos Dias from the School of Communications.

Through a series of workshops facilitated by artist Sally Walmsley, members of the Ukrainian community attended a series of structured workshops involving music, dance, drawing and performance. Following these workshops, the Irish community will be invited to participate and to respond to the Ukrainian participant’s input.

This will be followed by a final performance event which is free and open to the general public.

We invite you to participate, engage and provide us with feedback on the final performance, which will take place in the U Building in the DCU Glasnevin Campus on Thursday, 20th of July at 11am.
