An in-depth study of Islamic State’s media practices is to be published in January 2025 as a new open-access book by two staff members of the Conflict Institute. Islamic State, Media, and Propaganda: Performances of the ‘Visual Caliphate’ is by Dr Moign Khawaja (IRC Postdoctoral Research Fellow) and Prof Christian Kaunert (Professor of International Security).
