DCU Virtual Recruitment Fair attracts top Irish and multi-national companies
More than 70 companies from sectors including Science, Technology, Engineering, Business, Finance and Law, will be attending the DCU Virtual Recruitment Fair.
The event will take place on Tuesday, 28th September, from 12-4pm, and will be hosted on the Graduateland platform.
The Fair brings together students and companies virtually through the Graduateland platform. This allows students to log on from any location and engage with companies through video and chat.
This is considered an excellent opportunity for final year undergraduate and postgraduate students to meet with recruiters from some of the top Irish and Multinational companies who are keen to recruit DCU students and graduates for their graduate programmes and entry-level roles for 2022.
Companies have shown huge interest in this year’s DCU Virtual Recruitment Fair with the number of companies attending this year’s Fair increasing from last year.
The Fair provides the opportunity for companies to promote their brand, and they can also participate in our Career Conversations Podcast series (available on Spotify, Apple and Android) which adds to the quality of the research DCU students can do in advance of the event.
All of these companies will have graduate opportunities available for 2022 making the Fair a great opportunity for students to find out more about graduate options and start getting career ready.
This flagship event contributes to the high level of graduate employability in DCU as highlighted in our latest Graduate Outcome Survey results from 2019 which indicates that 95pc of DCU students are in employment or future study six to nine months after graduation.
In addition, DCU has been ranked 19th in the world and first in Ireland for its graduate employment rate, according to the 2020 QS Graduate Employability Rankings. It is also a great opportunity for companies to build their talent pipeline and meet our graduating classes of 2022.
Students will be able to register for the Fair from Monday, 13th September, via this link.
The Careers Service team will be sharing updates in the coming weeks and have launched a designated webpage to help students get fair ready. The Careers Service will also be offering workshops to help students prepare for the Fair and gain valuable tips and ideas on how to get the most from the Fair.
Elaine Daly, Careers Consultant with DCU Careers Service, said: “Building on the success of last year’s DCU Virtual Recruitment Fair, we look forward to welcoming everyone to this year’s Fair on Tuesday 28th September and creating the opportunity for our final year undergraduate and postgraduate students to engage and network with a wide range of companies interested in attracting and hiring our DCU class of 2022.”
