What did your time in DCU mean to you?
I came to DCU in 2005 to do a Master’s in International Relations after completing a degree in Physics and Maths. I wanted a change of direction and my experience of DCU was a place where I was able to explore new areas and where I met interesting people from all walks of life who changed how I looked at the world.
Why are you proud to be a DCU graduate?
I am proud to be a DCU graduate as it is a unique university that is open and welcoming for new students and also gives them the tools that will allow them to succeed in their lives.
How have you stayed in touch with DCU since graduation?
I have kept in touch informally with my friends in my class and some of my former lecturers. I also had the opportunity to attend a recent alumni event run by the DCU School of Law and Government which was great. It was a chance to re-connect with my former lecturers, see how things have changed and meet the new students on the various courses. It was also a very valuable networking opportunity!
Why do you keep in touch with DCU?
I keep in touch with DCU to see how the university is changing and improving. DCU is an ambitious university that is always trying to make a difference in its community and I think it’s important for its alumni to stay connected and to look for ways to help out and support its development.
