DCU Career Mentoring Closing Ceremony 2025

The DCU Career Mentoring Programme for 2024/2025 reached its official close on Thursday night at the Closing Ceremony to celebrate all the alumni and student participants of the programme.

Held in the stunning surroundings of the new Polaris Building on the Glasnevin Campus, guests were treated to refreshments and live musicians, including a current DCU Jazz student, before the official ceremony.

Hosted by Yvonne McLoughlin, Head of the DCU Careers, the event was then opened by DCU President Prof. Dáire Keogh with remarks by both the DCU Careers Office and DCU Alumni Office who collaborate on the Programme each year.

Mentee of the Year was awarded to Kseniia Sobol (BSc Genetics and Cell Biology), presented by Yvonne.

Ross Munnelly, Director of Alumni Relations, presented the Award for Mentor of the Year to Laura Miskella, Masters in Special Educational Needs, 2020.

A huge congratulations to Laura and Kseniia on their much deserved awards.

A extra special thanks to all our Mentors for 2024/2025 for being so engaged and giving back their time and experience to this key programme for the DCU Alumni Office. Over 190 Mentors took part this year and we saw a 6% rise on the number of mentors from 2023/2024.

Applications for the 2025/2026 Programme will be opening later this year and to ensure you are kept informed of when you can apply, please make sure you update your details with us at dcu.ie/keepintouch
