Emerging Leaders Closing Ceremony 2025

The Emerging Leaders 2024-2025 Programme Closing Ceremony was not only a celebration of this cohort's growth, but the growth of the programme over 5 years. Past Participants, Speakers, Contributors, and Volunteers were invited to this year's closing ceremony to celebrate the end of another year alongside receiving the 2024 Learning & Development Institute (L&DI) Excellence in Learning Award.

The event featured a fireside chat with Professor David Collings, Sinead Heneghan, a reflection from Gay White, and well deserved flowers to Katie Keogh who is the Emerging Leaders Programme Chair.

Congratulations to Angel Cassin who was awarded the Emerging Leader of the Year, and to Andrew McGrane and Derrick Moloney as Emerging Leader Mentors of the Year.

The programme won Best Coaching or Mentoring Initiative at the Excellence in Learning Awards 2024, but it’s the feedback of participants that really underlines the worth of the Emerging Leaders Programme. Of last year’s participants, 90% were promoted, changed jobs or increased responsibility within their existing roles, while 100% indicated increased self-confidence, self-awareness and ability to problem solve.

This programme allows participants, which hail from each faculty of DCU, to network and learn from one another’s unique perspectives. It is likely that in their professional lives they might not overlap, but with learning from each other, they can use these discussions and perspectives on how to build for a well rounded future.

Congratulations to the 2024-2025 cohort. Applications for the 2025-2026 programme will open in summer of 2025.
