Christmas lunch

Alumni Christmas Lunch

We were delighted to host our second Alumni Christmas lunch to celebrate a wonderful year of Alumni events and to close out the year in festive style.

We welcomed guests from across a range of DCU programmes including our Emerging Leaders and DCU Career Mentoring programmes, plus alumni graduates from Glasnevin, St Patrick’s and All Hallows. We also were joined by guests of the DCU Educational Trust, representatives from our Alumni Council and many friends of DCU.

After a mulled wine reception, guests were welcomed by DCU President Prof. Dáire Keogh and Director of Alumni Relations Ross Munnelly before taking their seats for a delicious three-course lunch in front of the Christmas tree and fireplace of the 1838 Restaurant.

An extra special treat for guests this year was our three live musicians, alumnus Seamus Ong, his sister Mary-Aoife Ong and DCU jazz student Leon Kennedy, who provided a wonderful ambience of traditional Irish music and favourite Christmas tunes.

The Alumni lunch is a wonderful, now annual, DCU Alumni tradition we hope continues to grow each year.

If you want to be kept up to date about all our 2025 events, including next year’s Christmas lunch, make sure you update your details with us at dcu.ie/alumni/keepintouch
