DCU Emerging Leaders Closing Ceremony
The DCU Emerging Leaders programme concluded for 2023/204 this week with its Closing Ceremony.
The DCU Alumni Emerging Leaders Programme facilitates the next generation of leaders from our Alumni community through a schedule of innovative professional and personal development opportunities.
The Closing Ceremony gave a chance for the participants to reflect on the programme which included workshops on leadership skills, Insights Discovery with DCU Alumni Council Member Gaye White, a fireside chat with DCU chancellor Bríd Horan, learning sessions to focus on their working styles, and coaching sessions to help elevate their leadership capabilities.
At the Closing event, the Emerging Leaders listened to a conversation with two DCU Alumni Award winners who talked about their role in Ireland’s COVID-19 response. Julieanne Fleming who led and managed the services that rapid access to income support for citizens during a very challenging period for the country, and Dr. Pat Leahy who set up the citywide COVID-19 response centre in Dublin Castle, chatted with DCU Alumni Relations Director Ross Munnelly and took questions from the audience.
Following the presentation of their Certificates and group photo, the Emerging Leaders then enjoyed refreshments and a chance to network together one last time.
We look forward to following their continued success as they take what they have learnt from the Emerging Leaders programme and apply it to their own careers and the DCU mission to transform lives and societies.
