Success for DCU graduates at IMRO Radio Awards 2020

There was success for DCU graduates at the IMRO Radio Awards 2020, which took place as a virtual ceremony on Friday, 2nd October.

Congratulations to Multimedia Reporter with Communicorp Media, Kacey O'Riordan (BA Communication Studies, 2013), who picked up the Gold award for 'News Reporter of the Year'.

Congratulations to Newstalk Journalist, Kieran Cuddihy (MA Journalism, 2011), who won Silver for ‘Speech Broadcaster of the Year - Full Service’.

There were also a number of our Alumni who collected Bronze awards on the night.

RTÉ Journalist and Presenter, Cormac Ó hEadhra (BSc in Finance, Computing and Enterprise, 2002) won Bronze for ‘Current Affairs Programme - Full Service’ for his show, “Saturday with Cormac Ó hEadhra” on RTÉ Radio 1.

Sports Editor with OceanFM, Austin O'Callaghan (BA Communication Studies, 1994) won Bronze for ‘Sports Broadcaster of the Year - Local/Regional’.

CEO and Station Manager of OceanFM, Niall Delaney (BA Communication and Media Studies,1986) won Bronze for ‘Speech Broadcaster of the Year - Local/Regional’.

Radio DJ with SPIN1038 and SPIN South West, Jaz Keane (BA Communication Studies, 2017) won Bronze in the ‘General Music Programme’ category for his show "The Zoo Crew".

RTÉ Reporter, Cian McCormack (MA Journalism, 1999) won Bronze for "News Reporter of the Year".
