Global Intergenerational Week 2025 Has Officially Begun!

Global Intergenerational Week 2025 kicks off with the theme: Let’s Raise Intergenerational Awareness – a reminder of the power of connection and understanding between generations.

To mark this theme, we're proud to share the incredible work of the Alzheimer Society of Ireland and their Creating a Dementia Inclusive Generation programme.

This initiative empowers students to learn about brain health, dementia, and the importance of building inclusive communities. By encouraging understanding and reducing stigma, it helps young people engage meaningfully with older generations — a perfect example of intergenerational awareness in action.

Did you know? 1 in 3 young people know someone living with dementia.

Available in both English and Irish, this programme is also an official Gaisce Challenge Partner.
