Art & Appreciation: Exploring Your Creative Path

This module offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich and diverse art world, viewing it through the personal lens of your own experiences and interpretations. Together, we’ll explore a wide range of artworks from different periods and styles, from classical to contemporary, examining their aesthetic qualities and the historical, cultural, and social contexts in which they were created. As we unravel the deeper meanings and stories behind these works, we’ll also connect them to our life-worlds, discovering how art continues to resonate and influence us today.

Whether you’re a seasoned art enthusiast or completely new to the subject, this course is designed to be accessible to all. No prior knowledge or experience is necessary—just a curiosity and willingness to engage. Every opinion and perspective is valued, creating a space for lively discussions, personal insights, and collective discovery.

Artist-Educator Sarah Ward will lead the module for eight weeks, and it will involve field trips to see some of the wonderful art in Dublin.
